A Rhinoplasty that Fits the Face

When considering a nose that fits your face experience defines that what is most important is that patient and surgeon understand each other in terms of specific aesthetic goals:

Only through discussion assisted by imaging techniques is your surgeon able to define:
Is the nasal bridge to be straight, slightly scooped, or is a preoperative dorsal convexity to be softened but preserved?
Do you the patient desire a nose that is more turned up, or not?
Is the tip to be sculptured, angular, or one that has good contours but a softer shape?
These are the kinds of issues that a patient and surgeon must have discussed together so that the proper surgical plan can be established and so that the surgeon maximizes the patient's chances of achieving his or her desired result.

No longer is: " I will leave it to you" an acceptable relinquishment of responsibility by the patient to the surgeon.
At the Jewel Cosmetic Nasal Clinic we have the experience to work with you, discus your expectations and achieve a plan that is suitable to your face and meets your expectations.

Importantly you the patient needs to be reassured of avoiding the 4 Rhinoplasty sins of nasal surgery:

  1. Excessive reduction bridge
  2. Nose that is shortened turned back and excess nostril on view
  3. Destruction of vital tip cartilage achieving non controlled un expected and disappointing shape
  4. Lack of support for mid vault, with excess narrowing nose and compromised airway capacity

Recognising the potential and establishing surgical steps for each of these "Rhinoplasty Sins" is vital if you are to avoid Secondary Rhinoplasty!

The Jewel Clinic specializes in secondary, or revision, rhinoplasty, to help patients who experience problems as a result of a previous rhinoplasty. Whether these problems are functional, cosmetic, or both, Peter Dixon can help.
